Princess Belle

The past few days I have been working hard to create the perfect Disney Princess. One of my all time favorites, Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This was not an easy project. Infact, it was really difficult and time consuming, but I am so happy with the finished project.

This is the body. I borrowed this body shape from another pattern, adapted and created the perfect body for a Disney Princess Doll. I named the Body pattern "Disney Princess Doll".
I then began to personalize the doll. Giving her character and her own unique look of a Disney Princess. I chose Belle first because it was the latest Disney movie recently watched.

This is the finished body shape of a Disney Princess Doll. The top of the head is flat to accomodate the cap of "hair".
Belle is now beginning to take a personality. The hair was difficult, but with the help of a amigurumi blog I was able to create the perfect hairstyle for Princess Belle.

After creating a pattern for the Princess body, I began working on her wardrobe. Which was no easy task. I created two of Belle's most well known outfits with the help of a book I bought at Michaels.

Belle's Dress

And the finished product.
Here she is in here traditional outfit.

I plan on making the rest of her outfits. But for now this is it. Keep checking back for my next creation!! :)

Disney Amigurumi

This past year I have been obsessed with the Japanese art of Amigurumi, or knit stuffed creatures. But lately I have been striving to create Disney Amigurumi.

These are my attempt at a few Disney Amigurumi. The one on the left was created a year ago. Today I have impoved my skill and this is what I will be attempting to make.

Because Amigurumi is a fairly new thing there are no available patterns for free. Most of these I am having to create myself. Which is fairly difficult. I will keep y'all updated with my progress.

First Post as a "Blogger"

So I finally gave in after seeing that EVERYONE has a "Blogger account" to join Blogger myself. So I am switching from my tumblr account to Blogger so that I may keep up with other blogs. I spent well over an hour trying to figure out my settings and details of my blog. My design, fonts, etc. It was somewhat exciting to be able to customize the whole thing. So here it goes. My first post as a "blogger" will be to catch you up on my life.

This summer has been a very exciting summer indeed. At the end of May my sister Emily was able to visit me for Ring Dance weekend.

I was so fortunate to have her at my side during Ring Dance. We both had a blast. But the day before Ring Dance I moved into a wonderful house in Downtown Annapolis (DTA).

So for the past few weeks Adam and I have been working hard to fix up the house and decorate it perfectly. It is so amazing and I am TOTALLY loving living here. I am just a block from CRUSH winehouse and Ramshead Tavern. I am a few blocks from a cute little park on the water, and about 5-6 blocks from DTA (by the inner harbour). Adam and I walk my dog Tora to the park daily and often walk to DTA for dinner and date night. It is so wonderful and truely a blessing!

Two weeks ago I was able to take some time off and travel up to Wisconsin for a Fillmore family reunion. It was so nice to see family that I had not seen in years.

I am so lucky to have such an amazing family.

The past week I was just promoted (sorta) to a server at Buffalo Wild Wings. This will be a new and exciting adventure and will hopefully be able to bring in a little bit more income.

I have been so fortunate to see my boyfriend Adam, daily since Graduation. He has been doing an internship at the Academy and pretty much works during the day and comes to hang out with me at night. It is so wonderful to have him around ALL the time! I am going to be so sad when he leaves for his sailing block for a whole month. I do not know what I am going to do.

So that is a little blurp to speed you up on my life.
